Super Juice “Marinade” Updated

Super Juice “Wild Game Marinade”

Im revisiting one of my most popular recipes I’ve ever created. The super juice recipe has become a household favorite for many folks across the US and even the world. I got a message from a family in the UK who said its their go to marinade on wild rabbits. So let’s get into the history a little bit behind the marinade.

7 years ago my oldest daughter asked me to make pronghorn steaks, she wanted something new and flavorful she said. I went to the pantry and realized I didn’t have much because it was the end of the week, and we only grocery shop once a week. So I grabbed what we had and threw it all together with some venison and pronghorn steaks in the morning. After a long day I grabbed them from the fridge, drained the amazing smelling sauce and placed the steak on the grill.

I placed the steaks on the table and they looked and smelled amazing, we started to eat and everyone was blown away by the flavor of the steaks. Not only the flavors, but the tenderness of them as well. I realized that the soy sauce has an enzyme that helps breakdown the meat as it marinades and lends to a more tender cut of meat. I wrote down the recipe and that was that.

Fast forward 2 weeks and my girls asked me to cook steaks again and to use the “Super Juice” I asked them what’s the super juice, the quickly explained it was the marinade I used on the steaks a couple weeks back and that is how the name and recipe was born.

This is now my go to on all wild game, from Venison to duck and everything in between. It works great as as a stand alone or as a base for additional favors. It’s not hard, complicated or does it require expensive ingredients, its just good. Ive had folks over the years tell me they added different herbs, spices, pepper and incredible ingredients to make it their own. So use this as your base to create amazing dishes, or keep it as is.

Enjoy the simplicity of flavors and let me know your thoughts, what you added or took away and how it turned out. Thanks for all you folks do, and for always supporting me.
