Slow cooked wild game sandwiches

Being a dad of two amazing daughters and husband to a wife who works the 9-5, I don’t have much free time. So when it comes to dinner I am always trying to make my life easier. One of my best friends when I know my day will be jammed pack is my crockpot. Now I know many “men” out there consider the crockpot of slow cooker to be a stay at home moms goulash pot. I’m here to tell you, you’re wrong. I Utilize my crockpot for soups, stews, rumps and shoulders, birds and everything in between. Cooking the meat slow and low helps break it down and in turn creates tender juicy cuts of meat. Here is a simple yet delicious set and forget recipe.

Directions
Turn crockpot on low

Season wild game meat with your favorite rub or seasoning, set aside.

In crock pot mix all ingredients minus the meat
Whisk all ingredients together

Add meat to crock pot

Set it and forget it

Cook for 6-8 hours on high
Or 8-10 hours on low

Once meat is cooked remove from crockpot place on cutting board and cut into slices.

If you want a pulled version place meat in large mixing bowl and using two forks pull the meat apart.

Before serving take juice from pan and mix well throughout meat

Now for the sandwich!

I used classic hoagie rolls, roasted garlic mayo, cilantro and bbq sauce.
This dinner is amazing and pack full of flavor.
