What do you get when you slow roast a wild boar shoulder roast in draught style root beer? You get the best pulled pork you’ve ever eaten, that’s what you get.
Ill break this recipe down into two simple parts.
1. Slow cooked pulled pork
2. Spicy Root beer BBQ sauce

Slow Cooked Root Beer Pulled Pork
“Wild Boar style”
From Field To Plate
Ingredients:
3 pound wild boar roast * or pork shoulder De-boned
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cracked pepper
1 large red onion, sliced
2 cups or cans/bottles of Root beer (draught style is my favorite)
3 tablespoons garlic, minced
1/2 cup brown sugar packed
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1. Trim roast of fat, rinse and pat dry
2. Season with salt and pepper
3. Place roast in crockpot along with all other ingredients
4. Cover and heat on high for 6 hours or low for 8-10 hours
5. Remove meat from crockpot, take two forks and shred meat
6. Scoop onto your favorite roll, ( we love pretzel buns ) topped with BBQ sauce and enjoy
** Do not use diet root beer, you need the sugars for cooking and taste
Spicy Root Beer BBQ sauce

Ingredients:
3 cups Root Beer
1 cup bottled chili sauce
¼ teaspoon cayenne
¼ teaspoon root beer concentrate *find in spice isle
1 teaspoon garlic paste
Directions:
1. In medium sauce pan combine root beer, chili sauce, cayenne and garlic paste
2. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to simmer
3. Add root beer concentrate, stir
4. Low boil uncovered for 20-30 minutes stirring often
5. Sauce should reduce by 1 ½ -2 cups
6. Remove from heat and serve atop your favorite beef or pork dish.
