Wild Turkey Black Bean & Corn Pitas

My wife has been trying to gee me to eat Pitas for years… Tonight i have to say, I ate and enjoyed. With fresh veggies in the garden and a couple pounds of ground turkey left from spring season, I decided it was time to listen to my wife and make a meal fit for my wife. I have to say this was simple and incredible and so refreshing on a hot summer day.  My daughters called it Pita Tacos.. Enjoy

Wild Turkey black bean & corn pitas


 

1 Pound wild turkey ground, or any game meat

1 Can black beans

1 cup fresh grilled corn

1 cup fresh tomatoes, clopped

2 avocados, cubed

4 cloves garlic, minced

¼ cup cilantro, minced

½ teaspoon chili powder

½ teaspoon paprika

2 tablespoons Worcestershire

¼ teaspoon cracked pepper

4 whole wheat pitas

1/3 cup skim mozzarella cheese

 

 

 

  1. In large skillet brown the turkey with garlic, chili powder, pepper & paprika. Cook until turkey is fully cooked about 7 minutes.

 

  1. Mix in corn, cilantro & black beans and cook additional 2-4 minutes, remove from heat and stir in cheese, avocado and tomatoes.
